L’Origine is a traditional townhouse in the beautiful historic village of Collioure on the French Mediterranean coast, a little north of the border with Spain. Staying here gives you easy sightseeing access to both countries.

The property has been sympathetically converted into two separate apartments both appointed and equipped to the highest standards. The house is in a quiet but central area and only an easy, level 300m stroll to the beach, shops, marketplace, bars and restaurants.

The ground floor, two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment features step free, level access throughout. People with mobility issues and their families will appreciate the free on-site parking and specialist equipment – see photo – and design features such as wheelchair friendly, extra wide doorways, open, spacious living areas and effortless access to the garden terrace and seating area. With both air conditioning and heating, the apartment is suitable throughout the year for those seeking either summer or winter holidays in the South of France.

Getting around Collioure is relatively easy, even in a wheelchair. The old town of Collioure is pedestrianised and the short distance from L’Origine to the seashore is straightforward for wheelchair users… a bit of crazy paving along the way so there are one or two bumps but nothing to prevent you enjoying getting out and about – you can even make it all the way around the bay to get a real flavour of this colourful, seaside village. There is also step-free access onto the sand and to the sea if you fancy a dip.
