The Old Stables

The Accessble ‘Old Stables’, in Nordham, North Cave, East Yorkshire was designed with accessibility in mind, so all features are discreet and the look of the interior is visually appealing. It is spacious, light and sunny, quiet and has a secluded courtyard sensory garden looking at distant trees.

From the wheelchair friendly driveway to garage to interior is all flat. The interior is non-slip underfloor heated slate throughout.
The modern, bright accessible kitchen leads to the sitting room where there are two rise and recline chairs and a long sofa to lay out on.

Everything has been planned for ease of use. At one end of the property is the accessible bedroom with ample space to turn a wheelchair. French doors lead out to a sitting area to enjoy the afternoon sun.

The accessible twin/super king bedroom leads to the large wet-room which has top of the range fittings. Red cords in bedroom and wet-room sound in the carers twin/super-king room. There’s an adjacent bathroom from the carers bedroom and a small hallway with access to the courtyard garden and garage.

There’s a utility/drying room with washer which does not class as accessible, it is wheel in and reverse out.

We can provide elephant feet for the beds if necessary, a choice of shower stool/chair/wheeled shower chair and we have other accessories, so please ask. There’s room for your own mobile hoist should you wish to bring one or to hire one.

We welcome one well behaved dog . There’s parkland to enjoy just minutes from the door and also the North Cave Wetlands bird sanctuary. Beverley and Hull are 20 minutes away and York and the coast are 45-50 minutes away. The Old Stables is perfectly located to enjoy the Yorkshire Wolds and a varied holiday.
