The Lookout, Ty Cefn Tregib

A charming and spacious glamping lodge with it’s own private kitchen and shower room facilities alongside. In a woodland setting overlooking a rushing brook. The Lookout has been designed for ease of use by those with limited mobility and is all wheelchair accessible.

You can park right outside with paved and ramped access to the lodge, kitchen and shower building and two private decks.

The Lookout is tucked away in the gounds of Ty Cefn Tregib which was once the home farm of Tregib Mansion and stands in extensive woodland and gardens with views across the former parkland of Tregib Mansion and the Towy valley to the pretty little market town Llandeilo with it’s independent shops and eating places, just a mile away. We are perfectly situated for exploring this beautiful unspoiled area of Wales. The National Trust Dinefwr Park is just a mile away and the two famous Welsh gardens Aberglasney and the Botanic Garden of Wales are 2.5 and 7 miles respectively. It’s about a half hour drive to the coast, with the Pembrokeshire coast and the Gower also within easy driving distance. Owners John and Mary are always on hand for information and advice on the best places to go.

Designed and built by John and Mary using trees from the Ty Cefn Tregib estate and wherever possible reclaimed materials, the Lookout is completely unique, with it’s plant covered roof, Natural wooden ceiling beams and a woodland mural on the rear wall which makes you feel that you are living right in the woods. But it’s super comfy with massive superking bed which can be 2 singles, squashy sofa and a woodburning stove. Picture windows overlook the brook and there’s level access from the lodge to the two decks, one next to the kitchen is roofed and has an al fresco dining table.

Kitchen and shower room are designed for accessible use- wide doors lowered worksurfaces etc.

Whilst we do not generally accept dogs,  assistance dogs are welcome in the Lookout

We also have a cottage which sleeps up to 5 and an apartment for up to 3, which are not wheelchair accessible, but ideal for other family members.
