The Beamsley Project Charitable Trust
The Beamsley Project is an independent charity with over 25 years’ experience in providing wheelchair friendly, self-catering holiday accommodation in the Yorkshire Dales. We would like to ensure everyone can experience the delights of the Yorkshire Dales.
Our group centre accommodates 24 guests over 8 bedrooms and our holiday cottage can sleep 6 guests over 3 twin bedrooms. The centre and cottage can be rented together sleeping up to 30 guests and providing you sole use of the site.
We have lovingly converted the former Beamsley Methodist Church to provide a group centre suitable for everyone. Enjoy a coffee and a scone enjoying the afternoon sun looking at the views of the Beamsley Beacon from our huge lounge. Perhaps you fancy something a bit more competitive then why not have a game of table tennis or pool.
Most of our groups enjoy cooking for each other in our large catering kitchen with adjustable height hobs and sink but if you prefer, we also work with a number of caterers.
The main bathroom has a fixed ceiling hoist, adult sized changing table and support rails throughout. We also have a number of mobile hoists, a selection of shower chairs, commodes and profiling beds. A Closomat wash and dry toilet is also located on the ground floor. Please see our website for a full list of the equipment.
Our holiday cottage is also accessible with a through the floor lift to access the 1st floor. The kitchen has adjustable height hob and sink.
The bathroom on the 1st floor has an adult changing table and there is a Closomat wash and dry toilet on the ground floor.
Both properties have access to our extensive secure gardens and level parking.
We are located close to the historic market towns of Skipton, Ilkley and Harrogate, home to the famous Betty’s Tearooms. Experience the spectacular views of the Beamsley Beacon, enjoy the wheelchair friendly walks at Bolton Abbey or absorb the history of the Royal Armouries in Leeds.
