Since 2010 we have been the only complex in the Canary Islands to be officially certified as barrier-free by Equalitas Vitae which campaigns to eliminate architectural barriers and promote accessible tourism for all across Europe.

2. Sustainability: Nautilus Lanzarote is a 100% sustainable hotel, which generates its energy through photovoltaic solar panels. Being, for example, the first hotel in the Canary Islands to install a solar energy accumulation system in 2019.

Since 2004 we have been recognised as ‘Biosphere Apartments’ each year by the Institute of Responsible Tourism (ITR) for using clean energy and adopting environmentally friendly policies.

3. Art: In Nautilus Lanzarote there is a special sensitivity for art, each room is decorated by an artist and is an artist’s residence (monthly we have the pleasure of having one) and not only for this added value it brings to customers, but we also have a gallery with hundreds of works of art in which we guide and teach customers.

We have established Nautilus Lanzarote as a hub for Art and Culture, displaying more than 800 works of art in the apartments, around the grounds, and on land outside the complex. We also have artists in residence who stay at Nautilus in our ‘Casa del Artista’. Every apartment is decorated individually with art pieces from our collection.

Nautilus Lanzarote is committed to promoting accessible tourism. The complex boasts 47 adapted apartments, a hydraulic pool hoist to access the main swimming pool (maximum 120kg), an accessible lift to access the supermarket and four accessible parking spaces outside the complex.

The sea promenade at Puerto del Carmen is the longest in Europe, just five minutes from the complex, and the nearby shopping centre has been adapted with ramps. Both the promenade and the shopping centre have an adapted toilet.

The beach at Los Pocillos, which is 1,5 km away from Nautilus Lanzarote, has an amphibious beach wheelchair and an adapted toilet (ask for more information in reception).
