Flora and Fauna Exmoor
People with disabilities can now enjoy a unique, luxury holiday experience with their family or friends in the beautiful Exmoor countryside, on the lush green cusp of Devon and Somerset. Flora & Fauna are just 2 uniquely designed state-of-the-art Safari Lodges, thus making it an ideal opportunity for exclusive site-use. Nestled within a small working farm amongst a charming assortment of friendly animals, including cattle, sheep and goats, these lodges have not only earned a Gold-standard rating from Visit England, but have also become the UK’s first such accommodation that has been awarded with M3 accessibility for full-time wheelchair users. Within its first season of opening, the owners became recipients of Visit England’s Rose Award for Recognition of Services exemplary.
The safari lodges themselves are spacious, elegant and built to withstand the British weather. Each lodge has super-fast Wi-Fi, two spacious double bedrooms plus a ‘secret’ double cabin bed, ideal for adventurous children or agile grown-ups. The cosy living space boasts a log burner and widescreen smart TV. A high-end kitchen/dining area spills on to a vast outdoor deck each with its own private sunken hot tub.
The farm has joined the Race to become Net Zero 2050 and has introduced a variety of sustainable measures including solar technology, rainwater harvesting and a recently planted woodland. Local produce – some of it from the farm itself – is readily available for guests to enjoy.
The farm is in an excellent location for exploring the famously beautiful West Country. Nearby attractions include the award-winning Calvert Trust that enables people with disabilities to experience exciting, outdoor adventures with their friends and family and the Conquest Centre, which offers horse riding for people of all abilities.
