The Tack Room The Hay Barn and The Old Stables have facilities for wheelchairs and electric cars, so all mobility needs are catered for. And if you want to stay in, snuggle up by roaring wood burners in luxurious, cosy rooms.

Just over the fence, from spring to autumn cattle graze the green pastures with far reaching views over the Rutland countryside.

Because our cottages are so close to Uppingham, Oakham and Stamford, you’ll find a wide choice of local facilities, shops, cafés, tea rooms and restaurants. We’re a short drive from Rutland Water too with its 4,200 acres of open countryside, nature reserves and stunning walks.

There is so much to do around, and on, Rutland Water. Whether it’s bird watching, fishing, rock climbing, high ropes, golf, boat trips, windsurfing, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding of the Aqua Park during the summer you will find an activity that suits you.

There are plenty of places to visit including Burghley House with its annual horse trials, Boughton House, Barnsdale Gardens, Sacrewell Farm, Rockingham Castle and market towns slightly further afield including Oundle, Market

As a family we have seen lives changed by disability, both in childhood and later years.

We have wrangled wheelchairs, catheters, colostomies, TPN and feeding tubes. We understand that everyone’s needs are different, but that small things can make a massive difference to the ability to have wonderful family time on holiday.

As a result we took the decision when we converted the Castle Chase barns that we would design accessibility in from the beginning. So whether it is extra sockets, wide doors, level thresholds or roll under kitchens, we hope that you will find Castle Chase an easy place to holiday, no matter what your needs.
