Braddan Bridge House
Braddan Bridge House consists of 5 self catering holiday apartments. Each one has been designed with the disabled traveler in mind and feature specialist equipment to make your visit easier. Each of our apartments have profile beds, rise & recline chairs, full wet rooms with shower chairs, adjustable level kitchen worktops etc. We also have ceiling hoists in two apartments as well as a range of additional equipment that you are welcome to borrow during your stay. Two apartments are on the first floor and these are accessed either by an external staircase or a platform lift. Each apartment is decorated in neutral tones with hard wood floors. We have smart tv’s, radio alarms and hair dryers in each apartment as well as quality crockery & glassware. We also supply a starter pack as well as a small tea hamper. There is plenty of seating areas outside and we have BBQs available too…and in addition to all of that, we also have a laundry room along with tourist information centre and a small library & games area.
We are based just on the outskirts of Douglas, with a beautiful heritage walk right at the bottom of our drive. This is great for nature lovers and is well maintained making it easier for those with mobility issues. The Isle of Man has many lovely beaches, two of which hire adaptable wheelchairs for accessing the beach & shoreline. There is also a wealth of Manx Heritage Sites, museums and tourist attractions as well as stunning scenery.
Of course, the Isle of Man is also famous to the IOM TT Races, the Southern 100 and the Manx Grand Prix. If you’re a petrol head, staying at Braddan Bridge House during the TT or MGP is a must as we’re right on one of the most iconic corners on the course.
